Terms and Conditions of Sale and Website Use
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms and conditions explain how you may use the Brompton Joinery website and the terms that apply when you purchase products from Brompton Joinery Ltd. Please read them before placing an order.
1. About us
This website is operated by Brompton Joinery Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”).
Contact details:
- Address: 71B Mowbray Drive, Blackpool, FY3 7UN, United Kingdom
- Telephone: 01253 396600
- Email: sales@bromptonjoinery.co.uk
- Website: https://bromptonjoinery.co.uk/
In these terms, “you” means the person or business using our website, requesting a quotation or purchasing our products.
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply to your use of our website and to purchases made through our website, by telephone, by email or through an accepted quotation, unless we expressly agree different terms in writing.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, your statutory rights under applicable UK law remain unaffected. If you are purchasing for business purposes, some consumer protections may not apply.
Any special terms agreed in writing between you and us will apply to the extent that they expressly vary these terms.
3. Website information and product descriptions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, specifications and prices are accurate and up to date.
However:
- Photographs are illustrative and may differ slightly from the finished product.
- Dimensions may be nominal or approximate where this is stated in the product description.
- Natural timber can vary in colour, grain, texture, knots and appearance. These natural characteristics are not necessarily defects.
- Product specifications may change where necessary, provided we meet our contractual obligations and applicable law.
If we discover a material error in a product description or quotation, we will contact you where appropriate to explain the issue and discuss the available options.
Nothing in this section removes your legal rights where goods do not match their description or fail to meet the standards required by law.
4. Quotations, orders and contract formation
A quotation is an invitation to proceed on the terms and for the period stated in that quotation. Unless a different validity period is specified, please contact us to confirm that the quotation remains available before accepting it.
An order or quotation request does not automatically mean that we have accepted the order. A contract is formed when we accept your order or otherwise confirm in writing that we have agreed to supply the products, subject to any applicable legal requirements.
Before placing an order, please check the product description, dimensions, quantities, finish, delivery details and total price.
We may decline an order where we have a reasonable basis to do so, for example where a product is unavailable, information is materially incorrect or we cannot fulfil the order. If we have taken payment for an order we cannot fulfil, we will arrange an appropriate refund.
5. Prices, VAT and delivery charges
Prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise specified.
The applicable price, VAT treatment and any delivery or other charges will be shown in the quotation, product listing or order information before you commit to the purchase. Where VAT applies, the amount or treatment will be made clear.
Delivery charges can vary by product, quantity, delivery location, and access requirements. We will confirm any applicable charges before the order is finalised.
We may change advertised prices from time to time. A price change will not alter an order that we have already accepted, except where a change is permitted by law or agreed with you.
If a clear pricing or description error affects a proposed order, we will contact you before proceeding on a corrected basis.
6. Payment
Payment terms will be stated during checkout or in your quotation or order confirmation.
Depending on the order, payment may be available through the payment methods displayed on our website or agreed with us directly. Orders may require full payment or an agreed deposit before manufacture, dispatch or delivery.
If a deposit or staged payment arrangement applies, we will confirm the amounts and due dates before you commit.
Online payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. Their processing terms and privacy practices may also apply. We do not intend to receive or store full payment-card security details where these are handled by a payment provider.
If a payment is not received when due, we may pause work, dispatch or delivery where permitted by the contract and applicable law. We will contact you to resolve payment issues where appropriate.
7. Product availability and changes
Products are subject to availability. We will let you know if an item becomes unavailable or cannot be supplied as agreed.
We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement. If we cannot supply the product you ordered, we will discuss the available options with you, which may include an agreed alternative or a refund of amounts paid for the unavailable product.
Where a minor specification change is necessary, we will ensure that it does not unlawfully reduce the quality or contractual specification of the product.
8. Bespoke and made-to-measure products
Some products may be made to your measurements, specification, selection or design.
You are responsible for checking the measurements and specifications you provide. Please contact us promptly if you notice an error before we begin manufacture.
We will confirm the agreed specification as part of the quotation or order process. Changes requested after acceptance may affect the price and delivery date and must be agreed with us.
Certain bespoke or personalised goods may be exempt from the usual statutory right to cancel a distance purchase simply because you have changed your mind. This exception does not remove your rights if goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise fail to meet the contract.
We will explain any applicable cancellation restrictions before you place your order.
9. Delivery and collection
The delivery method, estimated delivery date or period, delivery address and any applicable charges will be confirmed in your order information or quotation.
Any delivery date provided is an estimate unless we expressly agree a fixed date. If a delay occurs, we will keep you informed and deal with the matter in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
Some products may be delivered to the kerbside or another agreed accessible location rather than carried into a property or installed. We will explain the applicable delivery arrangement before you order.
You should ensure that:
- The delivery address and contact details are correct.
- The delivery vehicle and product have suitable access.
- You raise any access restrictions, unusual site conditions, or special delivery requirements with us in advance.
- Someone is available to receive the delivery where required.
Please do not arrange paid installation or other work on the assumption that goods will arrive by an estimated date unless you have made suitable arrangements for the risk of delay.
If delivery cannot be completed because the information supplied is incorrect or access requirements have not been met, additional delivery arrangements or charges may apply where these are reasonable, disclosed and legally permitted.
We will not exclude liability where the law makes us responsible for a delivery failure or delay.
10. Checking deliveries and reporting problems
Please inspect your delivery as soon as reasonably possible and contact us promptly if goods appear to be damaged, missing or incorrect.
Where practical, record any visible damage and keep the packaging and delivery documentation. If you notice a problem, contact us at sales@bromptonjoinery.co.uk or 01253 396600, and provide your order details and photographs, if available.
Please do not carry out repairs or dispose of relevant items before giving us a reasonable opportunity to assess the problem, unless urgent action is necessary for safety or to prevent
